Organic Wheatgrass Juice Powder – Grown in Volcanic Soil of Utah – Raw and BioActive Form, Cold-Pressed Then CO2 Dried – Complements Barley Grass Juice Powder – 5.3 oz

You can not say enough about wheat grass. Wheatgrass has rightfully been ascribed as one of the healthiest plants on Earth – it provides an array of vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients, enzymes, and antioxidants. Boost energy and metabolism. Reduce inflammation & rebuild damaged tissue. And restore alkalinity to the body. Ann Wigmore’s book The Wheatgrass Book: How to Grow and Use Wheatgrass to Maximize Your Health and Vitality by Ann Wigmore along with her other writings have given wheatgrass much notoriety.

Research regarding the antioxidant levels (ORAC values) of various “superfoods” has found that wheatgrass has an ORAC score “higher than those reported for many other natural extracts or vegetables.” (5) Work done by the Department of Pharmacology at Gajara Raja Medical College in India has shown that some of the antioxidants present in wheatgrass include: (6)

  • phenolic compounds
  • flavonoids
  • sulfonic acid
  • DPPH (1,1′-diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl)
  • triterpenoids
  • anthraquinol
  • alkaloids
  • tannins
  • saponins

Wheat grass juice powder is my choice. Juice powder has up to 10 times higher nutrient concentration than whole grass powder. The juice power maintains maintains its full enzyme bioactivity due to its raw form. This also preserves key nutrients such as Chlorophyll & SOD. The juice powder is much more easily digested.

I put it in my Super Healthy Green Groovy Smoothie everyday.  Not only do I feel the benefits regularly on a daily basis, I feel the changes when I have this consistently.  It is amazing!  Really.  This earth has given us so many wonderful products.  Metaphorically, wheat grass is like eating sunshine!

This parallels the basic teachings of nutrigenomics.  Nutritional genomics, also known as nutrigenomics, is a science studying the relationship between human genome, nutrition and health. People in the field work toward developing an understanding of how the whole body responds to a food via systems biology, as well as single gene/single food compound relationships.[1][2]

Terrasoul Superfoods Barley Grass Juice Powder (Organic), 5 ounce

Barley is a nutrient rich super food, that is loaded with vitamins, minerals, electrolytes and fibers. Its abundance of nutrition makes it one of the most alkalizing foods and rejuvenating foods. Alkalizing Foods: Lemon, Wheat and Barley Grass by Om Krishna Uprety (Author) discusses this in depth.  It is rich in vitamins A, C, B and minerals iron, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and phosphorus. It is also very high in absorbable protein and contains 20 amino acids, including 8 of the essential amino acids that body can’t produce itself. 🙂

Barley grass is said to improve sleep, promote weight loss ☺️, enhance energy, reduce inflammation, stimulate the digestive system, and boost immunity. Wow!  Barley grass juice is often compared to wheatgrass juice.  I use both.

I like this brand.  Terrasoul sources barley grass juice powder from young grasses that are grown in the mineral rich soils of Utah’s west desert. The grass is harvested at its peak, pressed to produce a nutrient rich juice, then dried at low temperatures. The BioActive Dehydration drying process works so that the juice or powder never exceeds 106ºF (41ºC) retaining all of its potent nutrients.

USDA Organic Spirulina Powder 2.2 Pounds (1 KG) | 303 Servings | 100% Pure and Non-Irradiated | Vegan, All-Natural, and Non-GMO | Mess-Free Wide Mouth Container | Fresh Smell and Neutral Taste

Spirulina Is Extremely High in Many Nutrients. It grows in both fresh and salt water. It is a type of cyanobacteria, which is a family of single-celled microbes that are often referred to as blue-green algae. Just like plants, cyanobacteria can produce energy from sunlight via a process called photosynthesis.  Spirulina was consumed by the ancient Aztecs but became popular again when NASA proposed that it could be grown in space for use by astronauts.

This algae is packed with nutrients. It contains protein, vitamin B1, B2 B3, copper, iron, magnesium, potassium and manganese and small amounts of almost every other nutrient that you need.

It could be the single most nutritious food on the earth. A tablespoon (7 grams) of spirulina provides a small amount of fat — around 1 gram — including both omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids in an approximately 1.5–1.0 ratio. The quality of the protein in spirulina is considered excellent — comparable to eggs. It gives all the essential amino acids that you need.

Spirulina is a fantastic source of antioxidants, which can protect against oxidative damage.  Its main active component is called phycocyanin. This antioxidant substance also gives spirulina its unique blue-green color.

Black Seed Oil is great for scrapes and burns…

It is a wonderful supplement.  You can massage it into deep tissue. It is known as black cumin seed oil, nigella sativa oil, or kalonji oil, the amber-hued oil is used in cooking also. One of the key components of black seed oil is thymoquinone, a compound with antioxidant properties. The taste is very potent.  So you may want to drink it down quickly or mix it.

Calm is a nice way to get calm.

Calm says what it does.  This magnesium rich drink not only pumps up your magnesium levels but it helps to “calm” and relax you before bedtime.  Drink it as a hot tea.  Sip it slowly as you unwind.  It is a healthier choice to a beer or a glass of wine.

Magnesium is necessary for the proper functioning of hundreds of enzymes.

Consuming adequate magnesium might help reduce premenstrual symptoms.

Magnesium supplements can interact with different drugs, so it is best to check with a doctor before taking them.

Magnesium can help with the following:

  • Bone health
  • Calcium absorption
  • Help Diabetes
  • Heart health
  • Alleviate Migraine headaches
  • Premenstrual syndrome
  • Relieving anxiety

Work your way up to bowel tolerance.  I like lemon and lemon/raspberry but Cherry is my favorite!

Orgono Living Silica Sports Recovery

Silica is one of the number one nutrients needed for our beauty due to the fact it is required for collagen formation. Orgono has proven through clinical studies that an increase of 19% in collagen production happens. Many believe calcium is the main mineral needed for the formation and strength of our teeth and bones. However, silica is just as, or even more important… Our teeth and bones are basically made up of a matrix of protein and calcium salt deposits.

The matrix components are produced first, creating a structure in which calcium salts are also deposited. The fibrous matrix is made up of collagen fibers and gives flexibility to the bone and supports tension, while calcium salt gives firmness and allows the bone to withstand pressure. Silica is the top mineral needed for this bone matrix and the calcium salt deposits into this bone matrix.

There are many clinical studies proving that Silica is critical for teeth and bone health… Studies show that… Silica is needed for the accumulation of these calcium salts to be deposited into the bone. In bone issues like osteo-sarcoma, silica goes down by 50% while calcium and sulphur goes down by only 5 to 8%. Silica deficiency results in less calcium, magnesium and phosphorus concentrations. In X-rays, patients show a remineralization of the decalcified areas when Silica is taken. Silica added osteoblasts and bone marrow cells, increased bone synthesis markers, including Type I collagen. In silicon-deficient chicks and rats, the leg bones have reduced circumference, thinner cortex and reduced flexibility, and the cranial bones appeared flatter than normal. Silica accelerates the process of healing bone fractures and re-calcification. Postmenopausal women suffering from osteoporosis, not only inhibits bone resorption loss of bone mass, but also increases trabecular volume and mineral density. Rinsing silica in your mouth for a few minutes is good for treating your gums, and it was used when doing dental surgery for accelerating healing in a 5-year study.

It removes heavy metals like aluminum from your body! Studies in humans have shown an increase in urinary excretion of aluminum when taking silica. Animals fed a diet low in calcium, high in aluminum and low in silica results in accumulated aluminum in all areas of the brain. When supplemented with silica, no increase in aluminum occurred with the same diet. Silica has also been shown to reduce inflammation, has been used to alleviate eczema and psoriasis, and is incredible for the heart. Silica gives flexibility to the arteries as it’s one of the structural compounds of the vascular walls. An aorta which has suffered a stroke shows 25 times less silicon than a normal aorta. Silicon decreases arterial wall permeability and increases the intercellular mass and the thickness of elastic fibers. Silica is mainly found in fibrous plants, however, the US soils have been so depleted of minerals such as silica, and our food has way less silica than it used to. There is not even an RDA daily allowance on silica, as it is of no concern to the powers at be. Our healthy bacteria helps create silica solubility, and in todays day and age, where everyone has poor diets and are taking antibiotics, leaky gut and a lack of healthy bacteria are prevalent. So not only are we not getting enough silica, but we aren’t absorbing it either! Furthermore, silica doesn’t accumulate in the body so we need to get more each day. Benefits:

Silica is wonderful for its bone-building. It can improve bone density and bone flexibility.

It also helps with teeth, joints, tendons, ligaments, and connective tissue.

It helps to strengthen the connective tissues of the brain, nerve cells, and spinal cord.

Silica also helps stabilize the pancreas’s release of insulin.

There are many foods and herbs that are high in silica. These foods include bamboo, nettle leaf, horsetail, oats, melons, cucumbers, artichokes, asparagus, dandelion, and leafy greens.

Living silica as found in Orgono Living Silica Sports Recovery is one of the best forms of supplemental silica. Living silica is easily absorbed by the body. Personally, my nails have gotten so much stronger from taking this supplement in a very short time of 2 weeks.

EZ Melts Zinc for Immune Support, 30 mg, Sublingual Vitamins, Vegan, Zero Sugar, Natural Blueberry Flavor, 60 Fast Dissolve Tablets

There is no RDA on Zinc.  Yet it is essential for health. Zinc deficiency is difficult to detect using laboratory tests due to your body’s tight control over zinc levels.  Kid-friendly.

Zinc is a trace element that is necessary for a healthy immune system. A lack of zinc can make a person more susceptible to disease and illness.

It is responsible for a number of functions in the human body, and it helps stimulate the activity of at least 100 different enzymes. Only a small intake of zinc is necessary to reap the benefits.

Currently, the recommended dietary allowance (RDA) for zinc in the United States is 8 milligrams (mg) a day for women and 11 mg a day for men.

The element is naturally found in many different foods, but it is also available as a dietary supplement.

The bottom line. Zinc is an essential mineral that helps the body inside and out. It can even help maintain the health of your largest organ: your skin. Due to its anti-inflammatory effects, zinc is especially beneficial for inflammatory acne and related scarring.

  • Gene expression
  • Enzymatic reactions
  • Immune function
  • Protein synthesis
  • DNA synthesis
  • Wound healing
  • Growth and development

Starwest Botanicals Organic Essiac Tea, 1 Pound

A cancer-curing tea originated in t Ontario, Canada, surfaced in the 1920s. The tea’s ingredients remained secret for decades. Canadian nurse Rene M. Caisse (Essiac is her name backwards) held the only recipe, and she protected it until just before her death.

Caisse said the herbal recipe came from an English miner’s wife. The wife claimed a Native American healer from Ontario had cured her of breast cancer with the tea 20 years earlier. Caisse named the tea Essiac (the reverse spelling of her last name) and reportedly gave it to cancer patients for free.

Today, thousands of people with cancer, including some with mesothelioma, use Essiac as an alternative medicine.

Despite its secretive history, the herbs in Essiac may offer some health benefits.  Consumers who are not battling illness might use the tea as a detoxifying elixir or as a general health tonic. Essiac tea is Proponents claim that it can kill cancer cells, stimulate immunity and aid detoxification.

Frontier Natural Products 392 Bulk Wormwood Herb (artemisia absinthium), Cut & Sifted – Organic, 1 Lbs.

Wormwood tea is an herbal infusion that has a long history of treating intestinal problems. This herb has had a bad reputation because of the alcoholic beverage Absinthe is derive from its leaves and flowers.

Wormwood tea has been used as a remedy for fever, liver and gall bladder ailments — and now it’s being tested for the flatworm infection schistosomiasis.

Wormwood is a flowering plant within the Asteraceae family. Also known as the aster, daisy, or sunflower family, this large family of plants includes nearly 2,000 distinct genera in 13 sub-families. The Asteraceae family contains other healing herbs such as Arnica.

Like many healing plants, wormwood goes by several different names. Some of the common names for the wormwood plant include: artemisa plant, artemisa herb, and the sweet annie herb or “sweet wormwood.”

The wormwood plant and the mugwort plant are related, but are different plants. The Artemisia genus is home to wormwood and mugwort and more commonly known healing plants like sage.

In Central Europe, wormwood is cultivated in home gardens, just as it had been by monks in monasteries throughout the Middle Ages. Wormwood also grows naturally in arid and rocky soil in temperate regions of Europe, Asia, and North Africa. It is not native to North America, but was naturalized.

Wormwood grows in straight, stemmed branches of two to four feet high, in bunches with gray-fleecy leaves and pale yellow tubular flowers. It blooms from early summer through early autumn.

The leaves are covered in oil-producing glands, which is why this prolific producer of volatile oils is known for being one of the most bitterof the medicinal plants.

The bitter and aromatic properties of wormwood are why it has historically been used in alcoholic beverages such as absinthe, vermouth, and even as a substitute for hops in beer.

In Hildegard medicine, wormwood is used primarily for its bitterness and aroma to help fortify digestion and relieve gastric pain.

The active chemicals in wormwood include absinthin, anabsinthin (both bitter compounds), and a volatile oil that is 70% thujone.

Thujone is an active organic chemical that acts as an antagonist of the neurotransmitter GABA. GABA controls neuron excitability in your brain. When thujone limits GABA activity, your receptors in your nervous system become more active.

As a result, high doses of wormwood can cause excitability or nervousness and muscle spasms. In fact, toxic doses of thujone from wormwood in Absinthe is part of how Absinthe got its reputation for hallucinations and other effects.

Wormwood has various health benefits

For many years researchers thought thujone acted similarly to THC, the active hallucinogenic compound found in cannabis (marijuana). This was because thujone acts similarly to THC on the cannabinoid receptors. But but subsequent research has proven that the reaction is different and there is no psychoactive effect.

Wormwood’s other active chemical compounds include:

  • acetylenes (chemicals that are naturally anti-parasitic)
  • tannins
  • ascorbic acid (vitamin C)
  • azulenes (aromatic compounds containing dark blue pigments)
  • carotenoids (nutritional organic compounds)
  • flavonoids like quercitin (bitter nutrient compound)
  • lignins
  • phenolic acids (aromatic acids)

Folklore prescribes wormwood for general deficiencies in digestive juices and malaise. There is some research that indicates that wormwood benefits include easing the symptoms of crohn’s disease as well as small intestine bacterial overgrowth or SIBO.

In addition, you can also use a wormwood tincture externally for wound cleansing and treating insect bites. Other wormwood benefits include:

  • Anti-inflammatory
  • Anti-pyretic (fever reducer)
  • Chemotherapeutic (kills cancer cells)
  • Anti-microbial & Anti-fungal (kills bacteria, viruses, and funguses)
  • Anti-parasitic (kills parasites)

If you have bloating and cramping in the stomach and intestine area, consuming wormwood vermouth after your meals can be an effective treatment.

In Germany, Hildegard’s wormwood cure is also known as the May Cure, because it is normally taken in Spring. In fact, Hildegard believed in doing a thorough cleanse in the spring to bring balance in spirit, mind, and body. Her spring cleanse using her wormwood wine cure was an important part of the tradition of taking a spring cleanse. We will cover her spring cleanse in a moment. First, let’s look at how to prepare wormwood.

You can prepare wormwood as tea or tincture. The best way for you to experience the wormwood benefits covered above is to start with dried wormwood. You can find wormwood essential oil, but wormwood oil is often too strong for most wormwood tea or wormwood tincture preparations. So you should not ingest pure essential oils of wormwood. In fact, this is true for most essential oils

This is VERY COOL…Wormwood Room Spray!!!!!

Wormwood is naturally antimicrobial and anti-fungal, so you can use wormwood as a spring-cleaning preparation to ward off potential illness. You can also use an aerosol of wormwood to cleanse your home or office.

Combine one (1) teaspoon of dried (or 2 teaspoons fresh) wormwood along with chopped thyme, rosemary, and lavender together with 2-3 cloves. Add 1/2 liter of apple cider vinegar. Allow the mixture to sit for 3 to 4 weeks in a cool dark place. Strain the juice into a mist or spray bottle. Lightly mist your living areas each morning to help create a clean air environment and strengthen the immune system.

Banyan Botanicals Bacopa Powder, 1/2 Pound – USDA Organic – Bacopa monniera – Ayurvedic Herb for Memory & Focus

and

Organic Brahmi Bacopa Monnieri Powder – 1 lb16 oz454 gm USDA, Ayurvedic Herb Hair Growth and Brain Function, Resealable Pouch, Value Pack of a Pound 16 Ounce, Capsules Alternative

I like these two brands.  I blend it in a little almond milk with banana or eat is straight.  Start off slow, it can make you sleepy.  Once you work your way up, you will see benefits.  I did!

Bacopa monnieri is a perennial herb native to several areas all across the world. It has been used for 1000’s of years.  It has been used in Ayurvedic medicine.

Because of its effects, it earned the name Brahmi, so named after the creator god, Brahma, in the Hindu pantheon. It is important to note that Brahmi is also used to refer to another important herb from Ayurveda, Centalla asiatica or Gotu Kola.

Bacopa monnieri grows in many places including India, other parts of Asia, Europe, Africa, North and South America.

It is a very bitter herb.  It helps liver.  It is known as a nootropic.  It helps memory and heightened focus.  It has antioxidant properties and helps the liver.  It is an anti-parasitic.

Be aware that you should start slow.  It can effect your GI tract at first.  You might experience a some diarrhea if you start off too quickly.

I am not crazy about the packaging in the Minature brand but the product is quality.  The bag needs to be emptied into another container.  It is not conducive to pouring.
