🌿Vibration, Energy & Staying Ahead of Regulation
LISTEN TO ME HERE
“Your energy is always communicating.
Your nervous system is always listening.
And nervous system regulation isn’t something we fix once and move on from—it’s something we practice staying ahead of.”Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week I’ve been reflecting on vibration, energy, and momentum—and how nervous system regulation is an ongoing relationship, not a one-time solution.
And the beautiful thing is—you don’t need big rituals to support it.
Momentum is built through awareness.
Noticing how certain interactions land in your body.
Listening to the clues—like that feeling in your gut, or realizing you’ve been staring at a screen for hours without blinking.
Noticing when your breath gets shallow.
Noticing when your shoulders creep up or your jaw tightens. These are not problems—they’re signals. And when we listen early, we can stay proactive instead of depleted.
I told my daughter today, “Don’t take it personally.”
She was upset about a math game and felt like “they” were trying to trick her. Whether it was intentional or not, that reminder helped her nervous system settle. It shifted the focus away from the story and back toward care.Because at the end of the day, we all have nervous systems that need love, attention, and support. It’s very easy to get caught up in a narrative—but when we stay focused on regulation rather than circumstances, we give ourselves more choice and more ease.
I know this is easy to say and often hard to do. But with awareness and small, proactive practices, we really can stay ahead of it.
✨ Staying ahead of regulation looks like:
• Taking 30 seconds to exhale longer than you inhale before responding
• Softening your gaze and dropping your shoulders between tasks
• Gently moving your spine, jaw, or hips to discharge tension before it accumulates
• Choosing foods that feel grounding and stabilizing—not draining or inflammatory for youEnergy isn’t just spiritual—it’s physiological.
Blood sugar swings, overstimulation from technology (or even a conversation), rushed meals, or foods that don’t agree with you can quietly pull your nervous system out of balance. Awareness here is an act of self-respect, not restriction.
🌿 Think micro-practices, not overhaul:
• One minute of slow nasal breathing
• A few gentle somatic sways or circles
• Hands on your body to orient and settle
• Pausing before your next “yes”These tiny moments add up. They create a steady, resilient baseline where your energy isn’t constantly being drained—and where your vibration naturally rises because your system feels safe.
As human beings, we’re constantly navigating new situations and environments. The question becomes: How can we adapt in ways that make our lives fuller—not more exhausting?
This week, I invite you to ask:
👉 What helps me stay regulated before I feel dysregulated?
👉 What interactions, habits, or foods subtly shift my energy—and how can I respond sooner?Gentle awareness builds powerful momentum.
Shine your light,
Namaste,
Rebekah

🌿Taking another deep dive into
the fabric of the body: FASCIAHi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
Hi beautiful souls, and welcome.
I’m Rebekah, and today we’re exploring fascia—this living, breathing fabric that weaves everything together in the body.
We’ll talk about what creates healthy, nourishing movement between our tissues… what happens when stress, posture, or unexpressed emotion disrupts that flow… and how practices that I teach on my channel like yin yoga, somatic movement, and mindful Pilates help restore ease, hydration, and connection from the inside out. But of course we are not limited to these practices there are manty more ways to affect the fascia.
As you listen, see if you can soften your breath, feel your body where you are, and allow this conversation to be less about fixing or doing—and more about listening.
Fascia, Shearing & Emotional Flow
Reweaving the Fabric of the Body
This week inside our Weekly Somatic Yoga Calendar, we’re exploring fascia as we often do—not as something rigid or separate, but as a living, intelligent fabric that responds to how we move, how we breathe, how we sit… and how we feel.
I often think of fascia as a vast, interconnected network—almost like the branching, web-like world in Stranger Things—where everything is interrelated, layered, and constantly communicating. Nothing exists in isolation. A change in one place is felt everywhere.
When we experience chronic stress, prolonged sitting at a computer, repetitive postures, or emotional holding, that glide can diminish. Tissue layers start to stick, tug, or pull unevenly. This is what we can think of as poor or unhealthy shearing—often experienced as stiffness, muscle spasms, restricted range of motion, or that familiar feeling of being “locked up.”
Stress, Posture & the Fascia–Nervous System Loop
Stress doesn’t just live in the mind—it alters muscle tone, breathing patterns, and hydration of the fascia itself. When the nervous system is in a persistent state of protection, tissues subtly brace. Over time, this bracing can create uneven tension lines throughout the body.
Think about sitting at a computer for hours, shoulders creeping forward, jaw clenched, breath shallow. That posture isn’t neutral—it changes how fascial layers load and slide. The result can be excessive shear in some areas and not enough movement in others, leading to irritation or spasms.
Emotions in Motion
Fascia is richly innervated and deeply connected to the nervous system. When emotions arise and are allowed to move—through breath, sound, tears, shaking, eye contact or gentle movement—the tissue can adapt and reorganize.
When emotions are suppressed or held, the body often holds with them.
This doesn’t mean emotions are literally “stuck” in one muscle—but that unexpressed emotional energy can contribute to chronic tone, protective holding, and altered fascial dynamics. Over time, this affects how tissues shear and glide.
How Yin Yoga, Somatics & Pilates Help Restore the Fabric
Yin Yoga offers long, gentle loading of tissue, encouraging hydration and slow reorganization of fascial layers. It creates time and safety—two key ingredients for tissues to soften and for emotions to surface and pass.
Somatic movement restores choice. By moving slowly, sensing internally, and reducing effort, we invite the nervous system to downshift. This allows habitual holding patterns to unwind and improves the quality of shearing between layers.
Pilates, when practiced mindfully, brings balanced tone, intelligent loading, and improved postural awareness—helping distribute force more evenly through the fascial web rather than concentrating stress in one area.
Together, these practices:
- Improve fascial hydration
- Restore healthy shearing and glide
- Reduce unnecessary muscle guarding
- Support emotional regulation
- Rebuild trust between body and nervous system
The Invitation This Week
Rather than forcing flexibility or strength, this week we explore listening.
Where does your body feel sticky, braced, or overworked? Where does movement feel nourishing and fluid?
As you move through this week’s practices, notice not just what stretches—but what softens, what shifts, and what feels like it finally gets to move again.
This is how we restore the fabric of the body—one gentle, curious moment at a time.

🌿 Fascia, Memory & the Stories We Carry
Hi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
A short story (science + lived experience)
Fascia isn’t just connective tissue — it’s sensory, adaptable, and deeply responsive to how we move, breathe, and live.
I know this firsthand. During profound periods of trauma, I felt weighed down by sadness and tension that I couldn’t shake. I made it through by attending Yin Yoga classes. I was a director of a program and regularly visited my teacher’s classes — and in those moments, I found myself in poses and sequences that made me feel lighter. My sadness lifted, and my body finally had space to breathe.
Many people notice that when they slow down in Yin or somatic movement, sensations arise that feel emotional, familiar, or surprisingly meaningful. This isn’t because the body is “reliving the past,” but because fascia and the nervous system are shaped by repeated experiences — posture, stress, protection, and patterns over time. When we soften load and bring awareness, the body finally has space to update those patterns.
Try this first (1–3 minute embodied practice)
Before reading further, pause.
- Place one hand on your ribs, one on your belly
- Take 5 slow nasal breaths, letting the exhale soften the jaw and shoulders
- Notice: Where does your body feel tense, guarded, or familiar?
No fixing. Just noticing.
This is somatic awareness — the doorway to change… a portal that I call the SOMATIC BRIDGE.The science (accessible, not overwhelming)
Research suggests:
- Fascia is richly innervated with sensory receptors, making it deeply connected to perception and the nervous system
- Slow, sustained load (like Yin Yoga) influences fascial hydration, elasticity, and neural feedback
- Embodied practices help integrate memory and emotion without needing to relive stories cognitively
- AND THIS SO WONDERFUL. THE HUMAN BODY KNOWS HOW TO MOVE FORWARD WITHOUT REVISITING AND RELIVING THE TRAUMA OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

Reflection (one question is enough)
👉 If this sensation could speak, what would it want you to know right now?
You don’t need an answer — curiosity is enough. In fact, I usually don’t recommend that you try to figure it out. Just realize it is a nice to let go, a time for self-care.
Your body is not holding you back.
It’s been protecting you with the tools it had at the time. When we slow down, listen, and feel — we give it new options.

🌿SOMATIC BRIDGE
Hi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
This week, I want to speak to something tender—and deeply human and personal:
our pain, our sadness, our losses…something we al experience at different points in our lives and how they can become portals for growth rather than places we get stuck.Loss changes us.
Whether it’s the loss of a person, a season of life, a version of ourselves— this is big— really big – we question who we are- health, certainty, or safety—
grief doesn’t just live in the mind.
It lives in the body.I know this because I feel it too.
Sadness has a weight.
It settles into the chest, the belly, the hips, the breath.
And in a world that moves so quickly, we’re often encouraged to “be strong,” to keep going, to move on before we’ve truly felt what’s here. There is often a comparison of pain. To move on. That what happened to you is petty. It’s not. It is your perception and that is okay.
The body doesn’t forget.
It waits.✨ Pain and loss create contrast.
And contrast brings clarity. When something hurts, it shows us what mattered.
What we loved.
What we long for.
And from that contrast, something honest begins to emerge. This is where somatic practice becomes such a powerful ally.
When we move slowly and consciously—
when we let the breath soften the nervous system—
we give sadness permission to move through instead of staying stuck. And my hope is this give you more autonomy in your life, more independence.
🌀 Release first. Then reconnect.
Somatic movement doesn’t rush grief.
It doesn’t try to fix sadness.
It simply creates safety so emotions can complete their natural cycle. And on the other side of release—sometimes subtle, sometimes profound—
there is space. How you can connect to it intimately is unique. In that space, I like to introduce what I call “the somatic bridge.”
Not goals born from pressure…
but gentle signals born from truth. After loss, we often become clearer about what we don’t want anymore.
From there, we can begin to ask:- What do I want to feel more of now?
- What kind of support, softness, strength, or freedom am I ready for?
- What feels possible in my body today?
- What was it that I miss so much and want back in my life?
This is somatic growth.
Growth that honors where you’ve been—
without letting pain be the final chapter.Sometimes moving forward doesn’t mean leaving sadness behind.
It means letting it move, breathe, and transform.Your body is not broken because it feels deeply.
It is wise. This week, I invite you to:
🌿 Move gently with what’s real
🌿 Allow grief and tenderness to have space
🌿 Release what the body is ready to let go of
🌿 And consciously connect to what wants to be born nextYou don’t have to rush your healing.
You only have to stay present with yourself.I’m right here with you.
Shine your light my beautiful friends!
With love and compassion,
Namaste,
Rebekah 💛

🌿Rebirth and a New Now
Hi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
This January, I am approaching things a little bit different.
Instead of treating January as the one moment for renewal, I’m remembering that each day is a beginning.
Each breath. Each time I get on the mat.
Each moment we return to ourselves.
Every day is a quiet rebirth — a new opportunity to connect, to evolve, to be present, to experiment, to listen.
Remembering this every morning when my feet hit the floor.
And also… to remember that this moment is enough — and that I am enough — just as I am — and to let that unfold. I don’t have to push so hard. I don’t have to be some idea in my head or someone else’s head for that matter. Let go of the narrative and the standards we set unknowingly.
In need of a mani-pedi.
Kids being kids.
Life being messy.
Hair doing its own thing.
My heart still mending from the loss of so much love in my life.
Tired eyes that still sparkle with life.
A body showing up honestly after long days of work and running around.
We often believe we must become something, look different, act differently — be more — before we’re allowed to rest in ourselves. But the body doesn’t work that way.
The body doesn’t ask to be perfect before it heals.
It simply asks for awareness, for connection.
And really — who decides what “perfect” even is?
Somatic work teaches me this again and again. Healing doesn’t come from force or fixing. It comes from meeting ourselves exactly where we are, without resistance — and embracing what’s here.
And when we stop resisting the moment we’re in, something surprising happens —
possibility expands.
Not the loud, dramatized kind we see in movies.
But the steady, grounded kind that grows from safety and self-trust. It’s a form of faith.
You can have goals and still find ease.
You can be strong and have ease in your life.
You can be on a path and still belong to this moment.
You can evolve without rejecting who you are today.
So today — just for a moment —
take a breath.
Feel your feet.
Notice that you’re already doing something brave.
You are here, in this moment.
You’re living your life as it is.
Maybe you find a lyric to sing along with, a song to dance to, or a small moment that reminds you you’re alive. I like to look at nature. I like to dance with my kids and sing like I’m some superstar. What makes you really sparkle. Do that today. Do it now. Not when and you can fill in the blank. Now, let now be your future and sparkle and shine now. Embrace life now. Our practices unearth and uncover those excuses.
I like to dance with my kids. So why am I not dancing with my kids?
And that is not only enough —
it’s where everything meaningful begins.
SHINE YOUR LIGHT!

🌿The Quiet Way Into the New Year
Hi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
This is Rebekah Aramini Lupo the creator of Body Illumination.
As a new year unfolds, there’s a familiar hum in the air — goals, plans, intentions, resolutions. I can hear that familiar question, “what are your new year resolutions?” A quiet (or not-so-quiet) pressure to optimize, improve, do more.
And yet… I find myself pausing.
I have so many ideas I’m excited about. Practices I want to create. Dreams that feel alive and meaningful.
And I also have kids who need me. A life that is full. Days that are unpredictable. Energy that ebbs and flows. I mean — I missed Christmas Eve and Christmas Day this year. I had the flu. First year ever… and yet. Some seasons allow for big leaps.
Others invite us to stay close to the ground. This year, I’m choosing to let where I am now be enough.
Not as a resignation — but as a deep act of self-trust.

Somatic work has taught me this again and again:
When we stop forcing the body, it softens.
When we listen instead of push, it responds.
When we meet sensation with curiosity rather than judgment, things naturally begin to shift.Life works the same way.
Before reading on, I invite you into a brief somatic pause — right where you are:
Let your feet connect with the floor or your seat beneath you.
Place one hand on your chest, one on your belly.
Notice your breath — no need to change it.
Ask gently: What feels supportive right now?
Stay with whatever answer arises… even if it’s simply “rest” or “nothing more.”You don’t need to overhaul yourself to be worthy of growth.
You don’t need to have a perfectly mapped-out plan to be moving forward.
And you certainly don’t need to rush.If your days are full of caretaking, tending, surviving, loving — that counts.
If your nervous system is asking for steadiness rather than stretch — that’s wisdom.
If your intentions feel more like whispers than declarations — listen closely. This year, I’m letting my practices, my work, and my life evolve from the inside out — shaped by presence, not pressure.
Instead of a resolution, here’s a soft intention you might carry into the year:
✨ May I meet myself where I am.
✨ May I trust that small, steady steps are still movement.Or simply: What would “enough” feel like today?
My invitation to you as we step into this new chapter:
✨ Be gentle with with life and yourself
✨ Allow “enough” to be enoughThere is nothing behind about moving at the pace of your life. Isn’t that amazing???
I’m so grateful to be walking this path with you. Happy New Year!

🌿A Sacred Tuning- Somatics & Meeting the Solstice
Hi Beautiful Friends, OR LISTEN TO ME HERE
Hey there—this is Rebekah Aramini Lupo, creator of Body Illumination. For this week’s Somatic Calendar, I felt it was especially meaningful to pause and reflect on the solstice that is upon us.
For some of our friends in the Southern Hemisphere, you are approaching the Summer Solstice. For many of us in the North, we’re stepping into the Winter Solstice—snow boots, mitten and all. Both are powerful turning points, worthy of being observed, just like the key moments and transitions in our own lives.
As we arrive at the Winter Solstice, we meet the longest night of the year—a sacred pause point in nature’s rhythm. This moment marks both an ending and a beginning. While the darkness reaches its peak, the light is quietly being reborn. I think of that beautiful moment when the sun flares up behind darkness and then poof it blends into the sky. From here, the days slowly lengthen, reminding us that even in stillness, life is moving forward.
Winter teaches us that everything has its time and season. There are moments for expansion and action, and there are moments for rest, digestion, and repair. In our bodies, in our nervous systems, and in our lives, cycles are always at play. When we honor these rhythms instead of resisting them – which trust me I struggle with this, but we honor them we create space for healing, clarity, and renewal.
This season naturally invites us inward. Energy turns toward conservation, reflection, and rejuvenation. Just as the earth rests beneath the surface, our bodies and minds benefit from slowing down, softening effort, and listening more deeply. Somatic movement, yin yoga, and nervous system regulation practices align beautifully with this phase—supporting our physiology as it recalibrates and restores.
The solstice reminds us that rest is not an interruption to growth—it is part of the process. Darkness is not something to push away; it is a womb for insight, creativity, and resilience. In honoring where you are right now whether full of joy or full of sorrow, you prepare the ground for what will emerge next.
As we move through this week’s practices, consider what you are being asked to release, and what you are gently nurturing beneath the surface. Imagine the crowcus that pushes through the cold earth. Imagine your miracle. There is no rush. The light returns gradually, and so do we—steadily, patiently, and in our own time.
May this solstice offer you permission to rest, to trust the cycle you’re in, and to remember that even the smallest increase in light is meaningful.

This week, I want to invite you to gently tune in to your fascia — the connective tissue network that wraps every muscle, organ, and nerve. YES – YES I AM OBSESSED WITH FASCIA. Recent research is reshaping (pun intended) how we think about fascia, not just as structural support, but as a sensory system deeply linked with the nervous system, emotional experience, and stress regulation.
In many ways, fascia is like the nadis described in yoga: subtle channels that carry prana (life force) throughout the body. Both fascia and nadis connect the whole body, transmitting energy, tension, and signals. When movement is restricted or stress accumulates, these pathways can feel “blocked,” contributing to discomfort, stiffness, or emotional heaviness very much like the meridian system.
Somatic practices — gentle Pilates, yoga, and movement sequences — help release these blocks, restore flow, and promote healing. By mindfully moving and breathing, you’re helping your fascia glide, stimulating the nervous system, and encouraging both physical and emotional release.
As fascia researcher Garry Lineham notes,
“Fascia is your body’s living internet… it senses, moves, adapts, protects and records everything you experience.” (wellbeing.com.au)
Similarly, Bordoni & Marelli write:
“The myofascial continuum… stimulates the areas of the brain that control the emotional state.” (karger.com)
This week, notice how movement and breath influence the flow through your fascia — much like activating the nadis in yoga. When you stretch, roll, or release tension, you’re not just loosening muscles; you’re allowing energy and signals to move more freely, supporting your nervous system, emotional balance, and overall vitality.
OKAY Here is a Mini Practice for Fascia & Nadi Awareness
- Take a slow, mindful breath and scan your body for areas of tension or restriction.
- As you move through this week’s somatic calendar exercises, visualize energy and movement flowing through your fascia, like prana moving through the nadis.
- Pause afterward and notice how your body feels — physically spacious and emotionally lighter.
Our somatic calendar isn’t just about mobility, flexibility, or strength — it’s about tuning in, sensing, and supporting the natural flow of energy and healing in your body and mind.
Namaste,
RebekahNamaste,
Rebekah

Putting Yourself Out There — Even When It Hurts
Hi Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HERE
One of the central somatic truths is that life doesn’t wait for us to “feel ready.” This week, I moved through loss and heartache. I’m not ready to share the details yet — but I will share this: grief, sadness, and anxiety can be quiet shapeshifters. They build momentum slowly, like tension accumulating in the fascia. And when we stop moving, stop showing up, stop breathing with intention, the emotional charge has more room to grow.
I took breaths — ten big sighs at a time. I didn’t want to, and I didn’t think I needed them in the moment. But the pain needed processing. And I knew from my own practice, from past experiences, from everything I teach and study, that movement and breath would help me navigate it.
This week’s message is about staying in motion — gently — even when you’re hurting.
1. The Movement Accumulates — and That’s a Good Thing
A regulated breath taken during heartbreak is not wasted.
A small action taken during a hard week is not wasted.
Every micro-skill of presence — a grounding, a check-in, a stretch, a boundary — compounds.Somatically, these moments build neural pathways that whisper:
“Even in pain, I can orient.”
“Even in overwhelm, I can locate one breath.”
“Even in loss, I am still alive and moving.”Each moment nudges you a little farther away from dorsal vagal shutdown.
This accumulation is what creates resilience — through repetition, not perfection.
2. Pain Doesn’t Mean Pause — It Means Modify
Putting yourself out there doesn’t mean forcing or performing.
It might look like:-
showing up at 20%, or 40%, or 60%
-
saying yes to connection even when your heart feels heavy
-
naming your emotional state instead of hiding it
-
taking a few breaths in the car before walking in
-
letting your shoulders drop instead of bracing through everything
It’s not about being “on.”
It’s about staying connected — to yourself, to others, to life.
3. Loss and Grief Are Energies That Move
Grief has momentum.
Sadness has seasons.
Anxiety has cycles. When we don’t engage somatically, these energies harden — settling into the fascia, the breath, the posture.
Gentle embodiment, breathwork, and small acts of participation keep them from becoming stuck patterns.
You’re not trying to eliminate the emotion — you’re keeping it mobile, digestible, metabolizable.
4. Perspective: You Are Practicing for Your Future Self
Every breath you take now becomes a resource later.
Every act of courage becomes a baseline.
Every regulated moment during dysregulation becomes a memory your body can draw from when the next wave comes. This is the long game of somatic work:
Showing up, imperfectly, again and again, so your future self feels the difference — maybe not immediately, but inevitably.Namaste,

How Trauma Lives in the Body
– our EvolutionHi Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HERE
The more I learn about trauma, the more intrigued I become. Trauma comes in so many forms—physically, emotionally, and even energetically. I’m not saying we need to label ourselves or our experiences to benefit from understanding how our bodies hold onto stress. Did you know that even something as seemingly small as a pesky tooth filling can create a form of trauma? Of course, there are degrees—big life events, chronic stress, and those tiny unprocessed moments that we don’t even realize affected us. It all depends on how we interpret and internalize the experience.
Our fascia, the connective tissue that wraps around muscles, organs, and joints, is like a living memory of these moments. It’s absolutely fascinating. Fascia doesn’t just hold tension—it also stores neuropeptides, the chemical messengers of our emotions. This is one reason unprocessed experiences can linger in our tissues long after the moment has passed, even when we believe we’ve “moved on.”
The amazing thing is that awareness is the first step in self-care, and gentle, mindful somatic movement can help release, transform, and heal these stored patterns. As we move, breathe, stretch, and soften, we give our body a way to metabolize those neuropeptides and create new emotional impressions—ones rooted in safety, connection, and presence.
This week, I invite you to tune into your body with curiosity, explore your fascia with gentle somatic exercises, and notice how movement can unlock tension, restore your prana and qi, and bring a sense of ease back into your body and your life. Healing isn’t about perfection—it’s about the evolution of yourself. Does that make sense? When we understand how trauma and life events shape us, we become more attuned, more aware, and better equipped to navigate our inner and outer world. And the self-nurturing and compassion we cultivate within… naturally overflows to everyone around us which is so amazing.
This I have a somatic yoga class on the calendar. Give it a try even if you don’t think you have trauma in the body. Try it and see what happens.
Shine your beautiful light Friends!
Namaste,

The Somatic Power of Gratitude:
Heart, Body, Mind. It Changes EverythingHi Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HERE
This week, many of us are celebrating a day of thankfulness, but what does gratitude really do for us?
When we consciously connect to gratitude, something powerful happens: our energy shifts instantly. Our heart opens, our brain responds, and our body follows. Gratitude isn’t just a mental exercise—it’s a somatic experience. It flows through our body, softening tension, grounding us, and reconnecting us to the present moment.

Over time, we’ve drifted so far from truly feeling in our bodies—both the joys and the discomforts—that we forget the incredible wisdom our body holds. By practicing gratitude mindfully, we awaken that awareness. We notice the small sparks of joy, the ease of a deep breath, the gentle rhythm of our heartbeat. We remember that our bodies are alive with intelligence, and gratitude is a doorway back to that connection.
This week, I invite you to try a small practice—especially if family or friends push buttons you didn’t even know you had: pause, place your hand on your heart, and breathe into a moment of gratitude. Let yourself feel it fully. Notice how your energy, posture, thoughts, and even your breath respond. That simple acknowledgment can ripple through your whole system.
Gratitude is more than words—it’s a somatic practice. The more we bring it into our daily lives, the more we cultivate joy, presence, and resilience from the inside out.
With love and light,

Motivation and Your Nervous System Connection
Hey Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HEREThis week I wanted to talk about something that I am looking for motivation. It often gets lost with the busyness of life and other people‘s agendas.
And yeah, without motivation it’s like driving a car without navigation or any direction
-it is actually that inner current that moves us toward action, creativity, and connection. Sometimes it’s loud and electric, and other times, it hums quietly beneath the surface, waiting for us to tune in.
Motivation looks different for everyone. For some, — feeling good in your body . For others, it’s — the freedom that comes from stability and flow. Maybe it’s friendship and community, being surrounded by people who lift your spirit. Or perhaps your drive is metaphysical — the longing to grow, expand, and align with your purpose.
No matter what lights your spark, motivation is deeply connected to your nervous system. When we are regulated — grounded, calm, and connected — our motivation flows naturally. When we are dysregulated or in survival mode, that same motivation can feel distant or forced.
Our somatic and yin yoga practices help us reconnect to that inner current. Each time you pause, breathe, soften, or stretch into sensation, you’re rewiring your nervous system and creating new pathways for energy and clarity. These practices are accumulative — each moment of mindfulness adds up. Over time, we feel the difference in our bodies and see it reflected in our lives.
So this week, as you move through your calendar:
✨ Notice what truly motivates you.
✨ Let your body guide you — where do you feel that spark?
✨ Remember that consistency, not intensity, is where transformation happens. You’re building your foundation — breath by breath, moment by moment.
With love and illumination,
Rebekah#SomaticLiving #MindfulMovement #InnerGuidance #BodyWisdom #SomaticYoga #WellnessJourney #FollowTheBreadCrumbs

Saran Wrap – the Release That Won’t
Hey Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HEREVery recently, I went to saunas at a spa hoping for an exhale of relief. You know that feeling when you imagine everything melting away — the stress, the worry, the layers of doing and thinking?
But instead… nothing moved.
I sat there for almost two hours, in different saunas, sweating, breathing, waiting — and it felt like my whole body was wrapped in invisible Saran Wrap. I don’t think I could even cry. Tight, unmoving, almost protective.
At first, I felt frustrated. I wanted something to shift. I expected release. But as I softened into the moment, I realized — this was part of the process. My body wasn’t ready to let go yet. My fascia, my stress, my pain was lingering. It was still holding, still guarding, still whispering: “Not quite safe enough.”
The next day, something shifted. I woke up and could feel my fascia hydrated — that incredible web of connective tissue that wraps and protects everything inside us — beginning to soften and breathe again. I felt an inner unwinding, sort of like the caterpillar. You know right before it becomes the butterfly.
That’s the thing about stress release — it doesn’t always happen on our timeline. Sometimes the awareness itself is the first layer of release. Karen from our Body Illumination community commented last week on one of my a classes, “I usually feel the effects of your class the next day…such physical liberation (and mental during the class).”
Thanks Karen!
This week, I invite you to tune in:
Where do you feel that inner “wrap” of tension or guarding?
Can you let awareness — not effort — be your release?
Your fascia, your nervous system, your whole being — they respond to compassion more than force.
Shine your light, my friends!
Namaste,
Rebekah 💛

Swish, Feel, RepeatHi Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HERETake a moment and look down at your feet. Feel them on the earth beneath you. Let yourself simply be here, now, in this very moment.
Maybe life isn’t perfect right now. Maybe there’s old trauma lingering, work isn’t what you imagined, relationships feel “meh,” or something just isn’t clicking. That’s okay.
I remind myself: life is not tomorrow, or next week, or next year—now is happening. Embrace it.
Right here, right now, you have a choice: notice something—anything—you can love in this moment. Taste it, feel it in your fingers, your toes, your tongue. Really experience it. Let it fill you.
And just like that—swish!—the moment passes, and you move on to the next. Something new, something exciting, something waiting for you.
Ground yourself. Feel. Love this moment. And watch life unfold, one small, powerful instant at a time.
Shine your light,
Rebekah ✨#SomaticLiving #MindfulMovement #InnerGuidance #BodyWisdom #SomaticYoga #WellnessJourney #FollowTheBreadCrumbs

Hi Beautiful Friends, LISTEN HERE
In life, we often look for the big signs — the loud, ostentatious, obvious messages that tell us what to dive into. But more often, it’s the small bread crumbs that guide us. Tiny sensations. Gentle nudges. Quiet whispers.
On the mat, these breadcrumbs might show up as:
• A subtle shift in your breath
• A wave of sensation through your fascia
• A moment of ease in a pose where there was once resistance
• A quiet voice that says, “Yes…”In life, they may appear as synchronicities, a thought that keeps returning, a conversation that stirs something within, or a sense of curiosity gently pulling you forward. These moments are our body and spirit’s way of guiding us home to ourselves.
Somatic practice teaches us how to slow down, tune in, and trust — to follow the path as it reveals itself, step by step, even when we can’t see the full map. When we listen, those breadcrumbs lead us exactly where we need to go.
As you move through your Somatic Wellness Calendar this week, I invite you to notice the breadcrumbs:
🌿 What sensations are calling your attention?
🌿 Where does your breath feel most alive?
🌿 What gentle whispers are guiding your choices?Follow them. Trust the unfolding.
Shine your light,
Rebekah ✨#SomaticLiving #MindfulMovement #InnerGuidance #BodyWisdom #SomaticYoga #WellnessJourney #FollowTheBreadCrumbs

SLOWER BETTER???
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week has been… interesting. As most of you know, my system is down, and I’m working on a much slower computer. At first, I felt frustrated, thinking about all the tasks piling up. But then I realized—maybe this is an invitation to slow down.
And speaking of slowing down, I met a friend for a yoga class this week. Yes, a yoga class! And it was yin—slow, gentle, and absolutely lovely. I was so relaxed, I actually fell asleep during savasana. Isn’t that just the best feeling?
It reminded me that sometimes, slowing down isn’t a luxury—it’s exactly what we need to recharge, reset, and reconnect with ourselves, even in the middle of a crazy week.
So, wherever you are today, I invite you to find a moment of stillness. Take a breath. Stretch slowly. Let your body and mind feel the relief of just being—not doing.
Sending calm and gentle energy your way, SHINE YOUR LIGHT!
Rebekah😼Thanks for all your generosity in contributing to my system failure.

What We Overlook on and off the mat
Hi Beautiful Friends,This week I’ve been reflecting on the meaning of inclusion. We often think of inclusion as something we extend outward—making space for others, acknowledging differences, and offering a seat at the table. And yes, that’s a vital part of it. But there’s also a quieter, more intimate kind of inclusion: the way we include ourselves. When we practice true inclusion, it isn’t about forcing a relationship or pretending we’re the same. It’s about noticing the differences—whether that’s with people, experiences, or even the parts of ourselves—and allowing them to belong. This is particularly close to my heart. In my family, I have someone who is d/hoh (deaf or hard of hearing). I see how often people misinterpret her—assuming she’s being rude or disengaged—when in reality, she is simply missing information. When we invite the possibility that there’s another explanation, another perspective, we create space not just for her, but for ourselves too. We start to include the parts of us that feel unseen, unheard, or misunderstood. On the mat, this might look like honoring the body you bring with you today instead of pushing to meet yesterday’s version of yourself. Maybe it means giving yourself a longer recovery instead of rushing through. Off the mat, it could be listening when your body whispers for stillness, or when your heart longs for connection.I’ll admit—I rush. I run around, trying to fit it all in, trying to show up perfectly for everyone. But when I’m doing that, I often forget to show up perfectly for myself. I neglect learning about myself, and I don’t leave room for the softer, quieter parts of me that also deserve a voice.Inclusion, then, becomes an invitation:✨ To listen instead of push.✨ To welcome the messy, imperfect parts as much as the polished ones.✨ To stop on the mat—and then take that same awareness off the mat. This week, I invite you to practice inclusion—not just with others, but with yourself. Notice what you’ve been pushing aside. Include it. Give it space. You may be surprised at the peace and wholeness that follows.Namaste,Rebekah 🌸I have a goodies for you – if you want 6 months of my classes get 50% off 🌿 Root Calendar – 6 Months of Somatic Wellness ❤️ (Yoga, Pilates, Yin Yoga, Vagus Nerve Stimulation and so much more).

What I Learned at 4 a.m.
Hi Beautiful Friends, 🌸
This week at 4 a.m., my family and I were startled awake by a loud crash. My heart raced, my body braced — it felt like we were under siege. But after a breathless pause, we realized it was only my daughter falling out of her bed. She was perfectly fine, but the experience stuck with me.
It reminded me how often we misinterpret signals — not just in life, but in our bodies. A tight chest might feel like danger, but sometimes it’s simply held tension. A flutter in the belly might be read as fear, but it could just as easily be excitement.
Our nervous system is wired to protect us, and sometimes it sounds the alarm when we don’t need it. This is where somatics, presence, and curiosity come in. Instead of rushing to a conclusion, we can pause, breathe, and listen deeper. We can ask: What is my body really saying?
Somatic yoga and gentle somatic exercises give us tools to explore these sensations with kindness. Rather than judging or fearing what arises, we meet our body like a friend. Over time, this builds trust — and helps us distinguish between a real “siege” and a simple bump in the night.
This week, I invite you to move with curiosity. Notice your breath, your shoulders, your jaw, your heart rate. Ask with compassion: What message is here for me?
Because when we shift from misunderstanding to curiosity, we open the door to healing. 🌿
With love and presence,
Rebekah👉 👉 👉 ACCESS your calendar with all the video links:

The real story behind “I’m So Lazy”
Hi Beautiful Friends, 💛
This week, I want to talk about something we all wrestle with—feeling lazy.
How often do you catch yourself saying:
👉 “I should be doing more.”
👉 “I’m being unproductive.”
👉 “Why am I so lazy today?”Here’s the truth: lazy is usually not the real story.
Most of the time, what we call “lazy” is actually functional freeze—a nervous system response where we feel overwhelmed, depleted, or unable to take the next step. Instead of recognizing it as our body’s way of slowing us down to protect us, we label it as a flaw.
But you are not broken. You are not lazy. 💛
Pause the inner dialogue for a moment. You are human, and your nervous system is asking for nurturing. What if, instead of beating ourselves up, we honored those moments? A glass of water, a 5-minute somatic practice, gentle movement, a nourishing nap, or simply sitting in stillness can be exactly the medicine your body is craving.
When we honor these pauses, we are not losing productivity—we are restoring the very energy that allows us to move forward with clarity and strength.
So the next time you hear that inner voice whisper “I’m lazy,” try this reframe:
✨ “My body is asking for rejuvenation.”
✨ “I am giving myself space to reset.”
✨ “Nourishment comes before productivity.”By nurturing your nervous system instead of labeling yourself, you’ll discover that stillness is not laziness—it’s wisdom. 🌿
Shine your light!

Tears as Medicine: A Nervous System Reset
Hi Beautiful Friends, 💛
This week in our Weekly Somatic Workout Calendar, I want to shine a light on something many of us resist—crying. As a society, we’ve been taught to “hold it together,” “stay strong,” and “wipe away the tears.” But here’s the truth: crying is not weakness—it’s a profound somatic release. I’ll admit, I still catch myself holding back sometimes… and then I just let the tears flow. My kids tease me for it, but I’m trying to show them that tears are not about wallowing—they are about renewing.Science agrees. Emotional tears are chemically different from the ones we shed while chopping onions. They actually contain stress hormones like cortisol and prolactin, along with natural painkillers called endorphins. When we cry, we’re not falling apart—we’re literally releasing stress and rebalancing our nervous system.✨ A 2014 study published in Motivation and Emotion found that people often feel better after crying, especially when they feel safe and supported.✨ Research in Frontiers in Psychology shows that crying stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system—the “rest and digest” branch—helping us return to calm after a wave of emotion.I like to think of crying as the body’s built-in myofascial release system for the soul. Just as somatic yoga softens tight fascia with movement and breath, tears soften the emotional knots that words can’t always reach. So this week, as you move through the practices in our calendar, notice what arises. If tears come—during a yin hold, a somatic exercise, or the quiet stillness after—try not to resist. Instead, can you lean into it? Can you honor your body’s wisdom and let it express what it needs to release?Crying is somatic detox—a cleansing wave that clears space for joy, peace, and vitality. When we embrace our tears, we embrace our full humanity.May this week’s practices support you in letting go of what’s heavy, so you can make space for lightness.Shine your light!Namaste,Rebekah ✨👉 👉 👉 ACCESS your calendar with all the video links:

It Body Teaches Us…
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, I’ve been reflecting on the wisdom of the body. Our body’s digestion is a perfect teacher — it reminds us that letting go is not optional (can you imagine if it didn’t???) – it’s essential. Just consider if we held on to everything we consumed — the system would become stagnant, heavy, and toxic. The same is true in life.
Letting go creates space. It allows us to release what no longer serves us — old emotions, tension, stress, relationships, ideas about life and even outdated versions of ourselves. Without release, there’s no room for growth, no space for change, and no opening for life to flow through us.
This is where somatics becomes such a powerful practice. Each mindful movement, each gentle unwinding, is an invitation to soften our grip and allow the body and nervous system to exhale. In somatic work, we don’t force — we listen, we allow, and we let go.
So as you step into your week, I invite you to notice:
✨ Where can you release a little more?
✨ What might shift if you allowed your body, mind, or heart to let go just a bit?
Your practice this week is here to support you in that journey of release. Together, we’ll make space — for breath, for healing, and for new life to move through.
💛 SHINE YOUR LIGHT!
Namaste,
Rebekah

Strong Roots, Calm Storms
Hi Beautiful Friends,
💛 This week, as I looked at the weather shifting outside, I started thinking about how storms mirror the inner landscape of our emotions. When a storm rolls in, the skies can change in an instant—winds whip, rain pours, and temperatures swing to extremes. Life is much the same. Sudden stressors, unexpected challenges, or emotional waves can leave us feeling as if we’re caught in the storm.
But here’s the gift of our somatic practices, yin yoga, and mindful movement: they train us to meet these changes without collapsing into the extremes. Just as strong terrain withstands the pounding of a storm, our body and nervous system grow steadier and more resilient with consistent practice. Instead of getting swept away, we learn to bend, breathe, and stay rooted.
This week’s Somatic Calendar is designed to support that steadiness—helping you release tension, regulate cortisol, and nourish your fascia so you feel grounded no matter what “weather” comes your way.
🌀 Think of it as tending to your inner landscape—keeping it strong, supple, and ready to meet both sunshine and storm. I know I need it.
💛 SHINE YOUR LIGHT!
Namaste,
Rebekah

How you know when STRESS gets stuck
Subject: When Stress Gets Stuck ✨
Hi Beautiful Friends 🌸
Last week, I shared how stress isn’t the bad guy — it’s our body’s built-in brilliance, designed to help us rise to the moment. But here’s something fascinating…
When stress doesn’t get the chance to move through — when we freeze, hold our breath, or brace our muscles — it gets stuck in the body as unfinished energy. 🌀
Researchers have found that this “stuck” stress can show up as:
✨ Tension in the shoulders and neck
✨ Digestive issues or gut imbalances
✨ Low energy or burnout
✨ Mood swings or feeling “on edge”The good news? Your body already knows how to release it. 💛 Somatic practices — movement, breath, and awareness — give your nervous system the signal that it’s safe to complete the stress cycle. Think of it as letting your body finish the conversation it started, so it can finally exhale and reset. 🌬️
This week’s Somatic Workout Calendar is built to help with exactly that…
Remember: stress isn’t the enemy. It’s simply energy waiting to move. When you give it a path, it transforms from pressure into power.
Take a breath… let it move through… and notice how much lighter you feel. 🌊

Lobs of balls at…
Hi Beautiful Friends, 🌸
I’m a big believer in planning ahead — setting yourself up for success with meal prep 🍲, morning movement 🧘♀️, emotional check-ins 💬, and all those proactive little rituals that help life flow.
But let’s be real… sometimes life doesn’t just throw you a curveball ⚾ — it lobs the whole bucket at your head (usually courtesy of my kids 😅). You get sick 🤒. A blizzard shuts everything down ❄️. An energy-eater strolls in and takes a big ol’ bite out of your day 🥴. That project takes three times longer than you thought ⏳. You finally carve out time for your practice… and your body says, “Nope, not today.”
Here’s what I’ve learned: when your plan crumbles, ride it.
🌬️ Ride the breath.
🕰️ Ride the moment.
🌊 Ride the wave of not-knowing.Stress isn’t the bad guy. It’s actually a brilliant built-in system meant to help you rise to a challenge 💪. The problem is when stress gets stuck — when we hold our breath, clamp down, and live in that braced state for too long. That’s when it turns from an ally into a weight.
In those moments, I invite you to pause ✨ and soften into it. Let the breath move you. Invite your body to feel safe enough to release. Trust that you will figure it out — because you are an amazing, illuminated, magical being 🌟.
Planning makes life smoother — no doubt. But sometimes, the best plan is simply to be here, in the ride 🎢.

Rebekah 💛SHINE YOUR LIGHT!

Go SLOW?
Hi Beautiful Friends,
Today, I listened to my body. My spirit wanted to go-go-go… check things off the list, connect with friends, keep up with the pace of the world.
But beneath all that, something quieter whispered:
“Slow down.” And I knew that voice was true. There was a part of me that worried—
Will I disappoint someone? Am I letting people down?
But maybe that’s just old programming…
Maybe what I’m really letting down is the illusion that I always have to keep going to be valuable.I tell my kids this all the time:
You’re not missing out just because you’re not available.
You’re right where you’re meant to be.And the same is true for us, too.
I’ve learned—again and again—that my most healing moments don’t arrive in the rush or the doing.
They find me in the pause. In the stillness.
In the gentle unraveling of tension when I stop forcing and start feeling.Slowing down isn’t lazy.
It’s intelligent. It’s intuitive. It’s healing.Sometimes that looks like choosing Yin Yoga instead of a workout.
Sometimes it’s walking slower, or saying no to plans, or simply lying on the ground with one hand on your center, one on your heart.
Absolutely nothing—on purpose.Because every time I truly slow down,
I meet a version of myself that I’ve forgotten…If you need permission to do the same—take it.
Your nervous system will thank you.
Your body will soften.
And your soul will exhale.SHINE YOUR LIGHT!

Rebekah

“will I manage this?”
📩 Hi Beautiful Friends,
There are still days I catch myself thinking: “How will I manage this?”
The responsibilities, the uncertainty, the emotions—it can feel like too much. And honestly, I don’t always have the answers.
But over the years, I’ve come to realize that the “I don’t know how” moment isn’t the end.
It’s actually an invitation.
Not to push harder or figure it all out—but to surrender. When I pause… breathe… move… meditate… connect to the Divine—something changes.
By stepping out of the overthinking, problem-solving mind, I enter a new space. Something shifts. We begin to move out of the fast-paced, analytical beta brainwave state and into slower, more coherent rhythms—alpha and theta brainwaves.
These are the brain states where healing, intuition, creativity, and transformation reside.Have you ever felt that soft spaciousness in a yin yoga pose or during savasana? That’s it.
We drop beneath the surface.
We soften our grip. And we allow something deeper to guide us.
This is what practice, breathwork, and faith do for me.
Not because they solve everything—but because they change the way I meet what’s in front of me.So this week, if you hear that whisper or maybe a bit louder —
“It’s too much…”
Pause. Place your hand on your heart. Feel your breath.
And remind yourself: You don’t have to know how right now.
You just have to soften… and allow.Your body knows. Your spirit knows.
And you will surprise yourself.Namaste,
Rebekah🌿 Body Illumination

FEEL IT IN THE HEART TWINGE
📩 Hi Beautiful Friends,
Let’s find flow… not just on the mat. It’s that ease—the kind you feel when you watch the ocean or listen to the wind moving through the trees. It’s the feel of in breath.
Let’s plant the seeds of calm and flow—no matter what you’re carrying. Whether it’s stress, grief, trauma, or just the everyday weight of life, there’s still space to let those moments of ease take root.
We ride it on the breath.
We catch it in a pose.
We feel it in that heart-twinge when someone surprises us with kindness.
We bask in it during savasana. You share it with me!
These are the moments where nervous system healing begins—when the body and mind remember what it feels like to soften, to surrender, and to reconnect. Illuminate.
This week’s somatic calendar is designed to help you collect those moments—tiny windows of calm that ripple into lasting change. Even when life feels messy ( & Oh MAN I can relate ), you can still pause, breathe, and touch that place inside you that remembers ease, stillness the vast beauty within and all around.
Let’s gather these moments in a basket, give them muscle memory, and visit them. And if you feel inspired, share one of your moments—on or off the mat.

Somatic Detachment in Practice
🌿 Feel It All, Hold Nothing:
Somatic Detachment in Practice
📩 Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week in our Weekly Wellness Calendar, we’re exploring a somatic principle that’s subtle… but life-changing:
👉 Detachment — not as escape, but as freedom from reactivity.
In my classes, I often invite you to watch without judgment.
Why? Because the moment we observe with neutral, uncritical awareness, we interrupt the spiral of negative thoughts and stories that bind us to a negative state.
Judgment contracts.
Observation opens. When you detach somatically — when you feel without fixing, witness without labeling — your body begins to unravel old holding patterns.
This is how we release tension not just from our muscles… but from our mindset and emotional body too.So this week, as you move through the practices — whether you’re tapping, rocking, resting in a pose, or simply breathing —
✨ notice what you feel
✨ name it without clinging to it
✨ and give yourself permission to let it pass throughYou are not your tension.
You are not your old thoughts. You are not your past.
You are the awareness beneath all of it.Shine your light friends!

Ride the Wave 🌊
WEEKLY WELLNESS NOTE 🌿
This week reminded me how plans don’t always go according to plan. Between work, family, and the usual chaos of life, everything shifted what felt like umpteenth times. Just when I thought I had it all sorted, something else would pop up. But instead of resisting it, we leaned in, followed a gut feeling, and ended up at the beach—a bit exhausted, unscripted, but open. Just when a wave of relief poured over me with feet in the sand…dum dum dum –
The sky darkened and thunder rolled in, part of me wanted to rush or retreat. But we waited. We listened. We trusted. We found cover. And what came after was pure magic: fireworks bursting in the sky while waves lapped at our feet—a storm giving way to stillness and awe and big smiles. Admittedly not a huge fan of fireworks for many reasons, but this was actually amazing.
This week, let’s stay open to the unexpected. Trust your body’s cues, your intuition, your inner GPS. The most memorable moments often come when we let go of the tight grip of expectation and meet life—somatically, fully—in the moment.
Let your plans be soft. Let your instincts be strong.
With love and open hands,
RebekahShine your light friends!

OWN IT
WEEKLY WELLNESS NOTE 🌿
Own Your QuirksThis week, give yourself full permission to OWN your quirks—your challenges, your desires, your rhythms, your needs.
You don’t need to fit someone else’s mold to be whole or worthy.Maybe your body craves slower mornings. Maybe your mind spirals until you’ve had your grounding breath. Maybe your hips hold stories, or your emotions show up loud. All of it belongs.
Our quirks aren’t flaws to fix—they’re cues. Invitations. Part of your unique design. Let them guide your movement, your rest, your boundaries, and your joy.
This week, let’s move in ways that feel like home.
Let’s honor our whole selves, without apology. 💛 OWN IT!Shine your light friends!

Where You Put Your Energy
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, I’ve been reflecting on how powerful our energy is—and how where we place it shapes not just our mood, but our entire experience.
It’s easy to give our energy away to things like overthinking, people-pleasing, or worrying. But when we consciously choose where to direct it—toward movement, rest, or presence—we begin to shift, not just mentally, but physically and emotionally.
I had a little reminder of this when I was blowing up pool floats this week. The watermelon and zebra floats were effortless—ready for summer fun. But the toucan… that one had several holes in it! Turns out, the Easter Bunny’s gift wasn’t quite as easy as expected. And despite my efforts, the toucan wouldn’t stay inflated, and I had to laugh at how sometimes, even with good effort, things don’t go as planned.
This reminded me that it’s okay if things don’t always work out the way we hope. Sometimes we just need to know when to let go and when to keep trying. Somatic practices help us tune in—to notice when something isn’t working or is working, and to respond with awareness rather than pushing through.
So this week, ask yourself:
Where is my energy going—and is it where I want it to be?Let’s move and breathe with intention. Let’s choose wisely and compassionately.
Shine your light friends!
Namaste,
Rebekah

SOMETHING UNEXPECTED
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, I invite you to expect the unexpected—not in fear, but with wide-eyed wonder.
What if you smelled a scent that cracked open a memory you hadn’t touched in years—or one you never even knew existed? Something beyond imagination. This past week, one of my daughters graduated from elementary school, and I told her, “I could never have imagined you or created you in my sketchbook.”
She is beyond anything I could have planned. And what if your body moved in a way that surprised you—gently, instinctively—like it remembered something your mind had long forgotten?
In our practices, we often seek routine for stability—but this week, I encourage you to lean into curiosity. Let your senses surprise you. Let your body teach you. Feel what it’s like to experience life from the inside out, to shift old patterns and soften programmed responses to challenge.
When discomfort arises, what happens if we pause… and respond differently?Transformation doesn’t always come with fireworks. Sometimes, it’s sparked by something as subtle as a breath, a scent, or a shift in posture.
Let this be a week of new sensations, fresh awareness, and softened edges. Expect something different—and see what opens.
With you always on the journey,
Namaste,
Rebekah👉 👉 👉 ACCESS your calendar with all the video links:

🌿 The Space In Between
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, we honor something subtle yet deeply powerful:
✨ The Space In Between. ✨The quiet between breaths.
The soft pause before a smile.
The weightless stillness between yoga poses—where the body recalibrates, and the spirit gently stirs. In our practice, we often focus on movement or stillness. But what about the transition? That whisper of awareness between effort and ease? That gentle energetic pause—like the hush in the wind just before it shifts?
These in-between moments are the sacred threads that hold it all together. They hold possibility and a connection to the infinite. They’re where the nervous system resets, where cortisol levels soften,
and where we begin to hear ourselves more clearly. This week’s calendar is built with space in mind—space in your fascia, your hips, your spine, and your day. Somatic stretches, Yin invitations, Pilates energy and mindful breathwork are waiting for you… not to fill you up, but to help you empty out—and listen.
What if your next big shift isn’t in a pose… but in the pause between them?
With you in every exhale and in every whisper of wind. Poof! 🌬️ Then it is gone.
Namaste,

What Your Nervous System Has Been Waiting For
Hi Beautiful Friends,
Have you ever finished a somatic practice and felt something shift—not just in your muscles, but in your mood, your energy, your whole being?
This is the magic of somatics. And it’s not just a feeling—there’s science behind it.
Somatic movement and awareness-based practices help us heal from chronic stress, pain, and emotional overwhelm by working with the nervous system, not against it.
🌿 Why Somatics Heal (According to Science)
- They restore your nervous system.
When we move slowly with intention and awareness, we stimulate the vagus nerve, which tells the body: You’re safe now.
- 🧠 Study: A 2018 review in Frontiers in Psychiatry highlights how vagus nerve stimulation improves mood and reduces symptoms of PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
- 🌀 Somatic movement offers a non-invasive way to tone this nerve and bring you into the parasympathetic “rest and digest” state.
- They reduce cortisol (stress hormone) levels.
High cortisol from chronic stress can lead to fatigue, inflammation, anxiety, and hormonal imbalance.
- ✨ In a 2020 study, gentle movement paired with mindful breathwork significantly reduced cortisol levels and improved heart rate variability (HRV)—a marker of nervous system resilience.
- 💛 Somatic practices give your body permission to slow down, recalibrate, and return to balance.
- They help release stored tension and trauma.
According to trauma expert Dr. Bessel van der Kolk (The Body Keeps the Score), trauma isn’t just in your mind—it lives in your body.
- 💫 Somatic work helps unwind chronic tension patterns, reconnect you to sensation, and rebuild a sense of inner safety.
- Movement becomes a way to rewrite your story—from survival to freedom.
💬 In My Own Life…
As a mom, a yoga pilates teacher, and a human being, somatic practices have given me tools to regulate my emotions, reconnect with myself, and support my body, my life and my home to become better. These movements invite us to listen inside—to treat the body not as a problem to fix, but as a wise guide to follow.✨ This Week’s Practice

Rain, Herons, and Coming Back to Yourself 🌦️
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, the unexpected came swooping into my backyard—literally.
There I was, sipping my tea and getting ready to drive my kids someplace, when I saw a prehistoric-looking heron perched at the edge of our little pond, eyeing our lovely goldfish. My heart pounded as I flew out the door, yelling and waving my arms like a madwoman. It was one of those wild moments where you act first, then laugh later—drenched from the rain and building a makeshift contraption to shield our fishy friends from any more drama.
It got me thinking about how often life throws the unexpected our way. A surprise visitor. A missed workout. A snack that turns into a not-so-mindful big snack. It happens.
But the beauty isn’t in never slipping—it’s in the way we come back. Back to our practice. Back to presence. Back to compassion. That’s the rhythm of life. That’s who we are.
So if something knocked you off course this week, whether it was a heron or just a hard day—know this: You can always return. There’s no shame in the reset. Only strength in the showing up.
Sending you love and laughter.

🌿 Rinse the stagnation
Hi Beautiful Friends,
We rinse our dishes.
We clean our homes. We reset our spaces when they feel heavy or cluttered. But how often do we offer that same cleansing attention to our fascia, our nervous system, or the spaces inside our bodies?Just like stagnant air in a closed room, the tissues of the body can hold on to old stress, tension, and stories.Just like washing a window reveals more light, a gentle rinse of somatic movement, yin yoga, and vagus nerve breathwork, pilates articulations can help detox cortisol and soften the stress grip from the inside out. This week, I invite you to think of your practice not as something to “achieve”—but as a sacred rinse.A way to loosen the sediment of stress.A way to let your body know: It’s okay to let go now.💧 Move slow.💧 Feel deep.💧 Rinse often.Namaste,Rebekah 🌿💧👉 👉 👉 ACCESS your calendar with all the video links:

🌿 Your More??
Hi Beautiful Friends,
As we dive into another week on our Weekly Wellness Calendar, I invite you to pause for a moment of curiosity and reflection: What makes you want to be more? More mobile? More flexible? More strong? More serene? More calm?
I find myself asking this question whenever my kids test my patience—wondering how I can model the qualities I wish to share with them. Maybe it’s when you’re chasing a baby around the living room, or like me, sprinting after Baci the cat into the woods, or racing to your next flight and craving movement without a twinge in your hips. Perhaps it’s simply longing for a quiet, centered breath amidst a busy day. Whatever your “more” is—more ease, more freedom, more connection, more illumination—our calendar this week is crafted to meet you right where you are and help you lean into your personal “why.”

🌿 Holding your breath when checking your inbox??
Hi Beautiful Yogi Friends,
This week, I invite you to pause and notice. Not the big moments of stress or overwhelm—but the tiny ones. The ones that slip under the radar: Holding your breath when checking your inbox Tensing your shoulders in a difficult conversation Clenching your jaw while stuck in traffic These small moments, repeated daily, create micro-traumas in the body—silent imprints of stress that build up over time.
The good news? With somatic awareness, we can start to unwind them.
Try this: Pause. Breathe. Ask your body, “Where am I holding tension right now?” Bring your attention there. Stay for just 10 seconds. Notice what shifts. Small awareness = big healing. Namaste, Rebekah

🌿 This Week’s Somatic Inspiration
+ Breakthrough ResearchHi Beautiful Friends,
This week, I invite you to take a deep breath and remember: your body is always listening. No Pressure LOL! No judgement – but WATCH YOUR WORDS. WATCH YOUR POSTURE. YOUR ATTITUDE. Every stretch, every breath, every conscious movement you make sends a powerful message of healing. The work we do — through somatic practices, NSDR, Pilates, yin, yoga, and vagus nerve care — isn’t just about fitness. It’s about freedom: emotional, physical, and spiritual.
Every stretch, every breath, every conscious movement you make sends a powerful message of healing. The work we do — through somatic practices, NSDR, Pilates, yin, yoga, and vagus nerve care — isn’t just about fitness. It’s about freedom: emotional, physical, and spiritual.
🎉 Special Celebration:
We just hit 40,000 subscribers on YouTube! Wahoo.
I am beyond grateful for each and every one of you who shows up with an open heart, ready to move, breathe, and grow. Thank you for being part of this beautiful community! 💛
✨ Inspiration of the Week:
“Small, conscious movements create big shifts over time. Trust the process.” Your somatic journey doesn’t need to look dramatic to be deeply transformational. Show up, stay curious, and let the magic unfold.
📰 Breaking News:
A recent randomized controlled trial published in Physiological Measurement found that bursted auricular vagus nerve stimulation (taVNS) significantly alters heart rate variability (HRV) in healthy subjects. This suggests that non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation can effectively modulate autonomic nervous system activity, potentially reducing stress and enhancing emotional regulation.

Start Where You Are 🌱
Hi Beautiful Friends,
This week, I invite you to take a deep sigh and gently remember:
✨ Being okay with where you are is the first step.
Whether you’re moving through trauma, feeling stuck in a dorsal vagal shutdown, or simply navigating the waves of life — it’s enough to start right where you are. There’s wisdom in every state. There’s softness even in survival. And there’s no need to force a leap when a breath is enough.
This is your gentle reminder that however you feel is valid. It is not wrong, broken, or something to fix. It is you, feeling. And that’s beautiful.
This week’s calendar is full of practices designed to support this exact space — to meet you right where you are and offer movement, breath, and awareness as loving companions on your journey forward.
You don’t have to be “ready.” You just have to arrive as you are.
With love, presence, and deep trust in your process,
Rebekah
✨ Body IlluminationI love this poem by Dana Faulds and share it in many of my classes.
“Allow” by Dana Faulds
There is no controlling life.
Try corralling a lightning bolt,
containing a tornado.
Dam a stream, and it will create a new channel.
Resist, and the tide
will sweep you off your feet.
Allow, and grace will carry
you to higher ground. The only safety lies in letting it all in—
the wild and the weak; fear, fantasies,
failures and success.
When loss rips off the doors of the heart
or sadness veils your vision with despair,
practice becomes simply bearing the truth.
In the choice to let go of your known way of being,
the whole world is revealed to your new eyes.👉 ACCESS your calendar with all the video links: https://acrobat.adobe.com/id/urn:aaid:sc:us:6a2a1315-05a6-4cf0-b0fb-efa651da361d
